:Background:
Her father, Hiroto Kurokawa, was a retired Japanese major from a wealthy family and her mother, Madeleine Gagnon, was a mixed French Korean woman who was also from a wealthy family who owned a security company and was the shareholder of the company. Her parents met while Hiroto was traveling in Paris, France after retiring early as a war survivor who was diagnosed with PTSD. Both her parents were rather tall people, causing her to be tall. She inherited her father’s tan skin color. She is ½ Japanese, ¼ French, and ¼ Korean. She was Hiroto’s only daughter and he also had her learn martial arts (Taekwondo, kendo, and karate). Due to her upbringing, Minette developed a bit of a tomboyish side, getting into fights because of the racism she dealt with for being tan, unusually tall, and having Japanese and Korean blood. She had only had one good childhood friend who was an Afro-French boy who would defend her and play with her named Jacques Lavigne. It was because of Jacques that they got into playing basketball.
She was enrolled in a prestigious all-girls’ academy known as L’Academie pour les filles royale des Jardins because her mother believed they should spend time with more girls their age. There, she was recruited by the basketball club for her height but was glad the club looked for her instead of having to go through the trouble to look for the club. She became a starter and the forward-center for the basketball team, and it was her first time ever making friends who were girls as she befriended her fellow starters. Out of the Princesses of Basketball, she was the first one whose talent started to rapidly blossom. When playing one on one against Jacques, she had always lost to him but one time, she defeated him. Jacques felt emasculated then became angry at her, calling her a freak, then Minette punched him in the face which promptly ended their friendship. After Hiroto found out about the incident after a phone call from Jacques’s mother, he was forced to give a formal apology to Minette and Hiroto banned the boy from interacting with his family from henceforth. However, the incident with Jacques caused her personality to darken as her father always told her to never back down against any opponent so she would consistently proceed to crush her opponents and if they were to call her a “freak”, she would tell them “I’ll show you how much of a freak I can be.” Her new play style caused her to be nicknamed “The Hound of Hades.” Her friends and fellow starters began to have an issue with her playing bully ball, but she retorted that they shouldn’t be holding her back and that was when a rift in their friendship started. In autumn, her paternal grandfather caught Pneumonia, forcing her to move to Japan. However, her friends transferred to Japan as well. Some were in Tokyo like she was while some were in other parts of Japan, forcing them to become rivals against one another. She applied to be a center for the Touou Girls’ Basketball Team. Her jersey number at L’Academie pour les filles royale des Jardins was 6 while her jersey number at Touou Academy is 5.
Relationships
:Family:
Relatives: Hiroto and Madeleine Kurokawa — parents, Daichi Kurokawa (paternal grandfather), Kaoru Kurokawa (paternal twin cousin), Kuroi Minowa (husband)
Hiroto had her learn martial arts (Taekwondo, kendo, and karate) and Minette was excited to learn how to become strong. Her father told her to never back down against any opponent which she took to heart. She was happy anytime she was praised by her parents for doing well in martial arts and basketball. Much like Hiroto, she is rather protective of her loved ones. Her father had her learn Japanese. Minette heard her mother murmuring in Korean whenever she was upset and was curious what her mother was talking about so her mother taught her how to speak the language. She also loves being physically affectionate with her parents and receiving physical affection from them. Madeleine often caught her daughter getting into fights and telling her to stop. Hiroto however, didn’t mind the fighting since it was usually due to getting bullied because of colorism. While her mother embraced her tomboyish side, she also reminded Minette to act like a lady as well which is why Minette surprisingly has proper language. Her mother was rather concerned that Minette had no female friends aside from her sister and so she enrolled her daughter in a female school. Minette is obedient to her parents. Madeleine always made sure that Minette’s favorite beef dishes (Steak au Poivre and bulgogi) were made whenever Minette won a competition and seaweed soup exclusively for her birthday.
Kaoru Kurokawa aka Sailor Hydra
When they were little, Minette and her family came from France to visit her family and their grandfather. They were both affectionate towards one another and spent lots of time together. Minette was the one who introduced Kaoru to basketball and got her to love it. On Minette's first day at Touou Academy, she was put in the same class as Kaoru and sat behind her. However, as Kaoru approached her cousin for lunch, she was shocked to find that her cousin was cold and wouldn't hesitate to overthrow a regular to claim her spot on the team. They discovered that they were both Plutonian Moon Sailor Guardians and despite Minette's coldness towards everyone, Kaoru did invite her to go see their grandfather in the hospital and later on, Minette was finally able to open up and reconcile with her.
Like Hiroto, Daichi was a retired man of the military as a former general. Minette could see in previous photos of her grandfather where her father got his complexion and height from. Like Daichi had Hiroto learn martial arts early in life, Hiroto did the same with Minette. She visited him often in the hospital and he was gentle with her as he appreciated her visiting her. She was devastated that pneumonia took away her grandfather’s mobility and decided to become a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician.
:Friends:
Jacques Lavigne
Her childhood friend who is an Afro-French boy. When she was playing in Park Monceau, accompanied by her elder sister and mother, the other children would wonder why she was tanner than her mother. She explained that she had the same skin color as her father only to get called derogatory names by the other kids while her mother was distracted with setting up a picnic with a few maids. Jacques was the one who stood up for them and when the name teasing got directed at Jacques, Jacques and Minette started hitting the kids. They all became good friends and Jacques, who loved basketball, got her into playing it as well. They often played one on one with one another, and Minette would always lose until she got into middle school where she won for the first time. This made Jacques feel emasculated and he called her a freak and Minette physically struck him, which promptly ended their friendship. When her father found out about the incident, Jacques later gave a formal apology. Jacques being the first person to call her a freak caused her personality to darken.
Chantelle Aomi aka Sailor Sao
As starters on the same basketball team and those who shared the title “Princesses of Basketball” as they had a natural talent for the sport, the two of them were rather close friends. Minette liked playing one on one with Chantelle to block Chantelle’s shots which she deemed to be “crazy”. Because Chantelle was of decent height and graceful, Minette would ask her for help with ballet movements and they would practice ballet in the ballet classroom together when time permitted. Minette was always physically affectionate with Chantelle, such as greeting her with kisses on her cheeks and hugging to make her best friend laugh. Minette also enjoyed Chantelle’s singing. Minette was protective of Chantelle. However, when Minette started playing bully ball, the kind Chantelle was the first one to call her out on it but easily gave in as she didn’t want to lose Minette’s friendship. However, Chantelle was devastated when they had to be rivals against one another, Minette provoked her into taking her seriously by saying that if they were truly friends, Chantelle would go all out against her in their match. They later learned that they both shared a destiny as Sailor Guardians and would fight on each other’s side if the opportunity presented itself. They did take the time to catch up on what had been happening in their lives. Eventually, Minette stopped playing bully ball and they were able to reconcile their friendship. Chantelle believed that she would make a good doctor in the future.
Allette Shiratori aka Sailor Leda
Due to her upbringing where Allette couldn’t receive much physical affection, she was initially flustered and irritated by how Minette always hugged and kissed her cheeks. It took her some time to warm up to it though Minette tried hard not to be overly affectionate and make Allette uncomfortable in the process. After getting used to Minette’s tendencies to be physically affectionate, Allete would have to tell her to try again because she wasn’t mentally prepared to receive her affection the first time. Minette enjoys making Allette giggle from her acts of affection. Minette asked Allette for help on math, but Allette genuinely couldn’t understand why Minette had so much difficulty with the subject and her remarks unintentionally made Minette angry which made Allette get angry back and ask her “Do you want me to show you or not?” This forced Allette to become more patient with Minette who persisted and did improve in math. They fight alongside each other as Sailor Guardians.
Hisashi Meiou aka Plutonis Knight
In their previous lives, they had met before during her initiation ceremony as Princess Pluto’s guardian Sailor Guardian. After awakening as Sailor Kerberos, she aids Plutonis Knight and is protective of him and sees Hisashi as a big brother figure.
:Rivals:
Her fellow Princesses of Basketball used to be her fellow basketball teammates and good friends. But as their strengths in basketball grew, their friendship weakened. When they all moved to Japan in autumn, they transferred to different schools, making them rivals among each other to prove which one of them is the strongest Princess of Basketball. It wasn't until later on that they would regain their friendship due to Allette Shiratori's efforts.
:Love Interests:
Daiki Aomine
Her classmate at Touou Academy. While he was napping in class, he woke up right on time to hear the homeroom teacher introduce her. He had to admit she was pretty, and she was also his type because she was an E cup. He was even more intrigued when he saw her wearing a male uniform and heard that she announced that she plans to join the girls’ basketball team at Touou Academy. However, Minette didn’t appreciate him following her. Whenever he asked her to play basketball, she would coldly brush him off because she was afraid of getting hurt again like she did with Jacques. She was unimpressed by him because when she confronted him on why he was so intrigued by her, he said it was because of her looks, that she liked basketball, and her boobs and she hit him and called him a pervert. When she finally gave into playing him on the condition that he would leave her alone if she won but for some strange reason, whenever they dueled, something would always interrupt them. He was intrigued by why she played so aggressively but she wouldn’t answer him. She was unimpressed by him because he always napped in class and when she learned that he would skip practice. Unlike Daiki, Minette always attended practice because she wasn’t afraid if her skills would grow dramatically more as a result, she just wanted to be strong enough to crush her opponents. But like Daiki, Minette did not allow any of her teammates to be her support as she just wanted to do things on her own and avoid making bonds that could cause her to be hurt. In her mind, she already had friends and didn’t need more. He liked her dog but couldn’t pronounce Alcaeus’s name properly. Although she admitted to herself that she thought of him as a friend and rival and developed feelings for him, she realized that she was not the one for him.
Kuroi Minowa aka Hypnos
They met when she crossed paths with the model for a practice match at his school, Amanogawa Academy, (a school from the anime, Futsal Boys!!!!!) An academy for famous people. He was stubborn in interacting with her no matter how mean she was to him. She was initially put off by his flirting but eventually finds the idol to be charming as time goes on even though she won’t admit it out loud. Even as their alter egos, Hypnos, the warrior of the Hypnos asteroid, insisted on helping Sailor Kerberos even though she didn’t want his cooperation. They both later discover the truth about each other’s alter egos. After dating, they are both physically affectionate with one another. They give a lot of hugs and kisses to one another.
Her type of person is someone who is loyal.

The Plutonian Moon Sailor Guardians
Mihiro Kasamatsu aka Sailor Charon
While she did initially get mad when Minette was acting cold and said she is not going to rely on her teammates, she had to follow her coach’s orders to let her new ace act as she pleased. It was clear to Mihiro that Minette wasn’t open to making new friends and something traumatic in her past must’ve happened for her to be a bully on the court. Mihiro could see her past self in her. She told her that she’s not the only one who’s been hurt by someone and has a reason to avoid befriending others and that she’s been through similar events, but she has friends in the regulars on the Touou girls’ basketball team waiting for her when she’s ready to trust them. She was Minette’s captain on the court and her leader as a Sailor Guardian who also shared a destiny as one of Sailor Pluto’s guardian Sailor Guardians. Minette eventually trusted Mihiro as a companion and followed her leadership wholeheartedly and stopped her bullying ways on the court although she lamented that she couldn’t trust her earlier and couldn’t continue to play basketball with her. Mihiro promised to come visit so they could play basketball together and she followed through with the promise. Minette was Mihiro’s bridesmaid for her wedding.
Vanessa Nguyễn aka Sailor Styx
While Vanessa recognized Minette as Aminta from their previous lives, she was shocked by Minette's coldness and how she defeated Kimiko Toratani, their power forward to claim her position on the team. Mihiro's hot-headedness and Minette's cold attitude made them class often and as the vice-captain of the team, Vanessa often had to get in between the girls to keep them from fighting. Minette's attitude rubbed Vanessa the wrong way but still, she tried to remain professional and patient with her due to a part of her wanting to give her a benefit of the doubt due to her memory of Aminta, the fact she was Kaoru aka Sailor Hydra's cousin, and the fact she is a fellow Plutonian Moon Sailor Guardian. Sailor Kerberos tries to act on her own and Sailor Styx is often reminding her that they are a team whether she likes it or not. When discussing Minette's attitude with Mihiro, Mihiro remarked that "I've been in her place before, not wanting to trust anyone else. That's why we don't get alone. Because we're too alike." Mihiro's statement gave her more understanding of Minette's disposition. Minette later asked Vanessa how she was still so kind despite everything she's been through, and Vanessa replied, "Because I know better than anyone what it's like to get hurt so I don't want others to feel the same way." Hearing that made Minette see her in a new light.
