Kentarō and Mayuko Midorima — parents, Shintarō Midorima (older brother), Hideo Kasamatsu (husband)

Both parents are immune to their children’s luck. Her family generally practices a bit of all three Japanese religions: Buddhism, Christianity, and Shintoism. Both children inherited their father’s enhanced endurance, athletic ability, pridefulness, superhuman accuracy and love for sports. Both children have their father’s green hair color and eye color genes. Both children inherited their mother’s studious nature, diligence, and religious or superstitious nature. She calls them “Oto-san” and “Oka-san”. She gives her father hugs where she wraps around him with his arms and legs while she just gives her mother big hugs. Mayuko taught Mika how to cook. Mayuko wishes that Mika would be more feminine but is relieved Mika has feminine interests. Kentarō takes pride in Mika being just the way she is. She inherited her good eyesight from her father and has her hair in a ponytail like her mother. Both parents are happy that their children are studious and talented in sports and love them very much to the point both children are doted on. However, Mika was raised a bit more firmly compared to her older brother which is why Shintarō is very selfish which Mayuko regrets at times. Her mother did apologize to her for being a bit firm on her, saying that Shintarō is pitiful for being born with bad luck but at least Mika will grow up to be well-mannered which Mika accepted. Her mother inspired her to become a nurse in the future. Both parents appreciate that she’s a helpful child. Mika had been closeted about her sexual orientation from her parents as she was afraid that they wouldn’t accept her sexual orientation but after she found the courage to tell her parents after Hideo shared his experience coming out to his parents, they reassured her that they still loved her.

She has a relatively good relationship with her big brother. She calls him “Shin onii-san.” Growing up, they would play basketball or soccer together. Mika has a big plushie collection in her room and she lets her brother borrow her plushies as needed for Oho Asa’s lucky item of the day. He also gives her the plushie he purchased as his lucky item when the day is over which adds to her collection. She listens to Oho Asa horoscopes because of her big brother. He gave her a lucky rolling pencil that he made himself. Although she likes to display great gestures of affection towards him such as giving him a big hug that involves using her arms and legs to wrap around him, they aren’t clingy with each other. Shintarō nags Mika to act more feminine. She does listen to him and his advice but at times, she gives cheeky remarks in response. She scolds him when he is being rude to others saying that his harsh words only accumulate onto his bad luck. Shintarō cares a lot more for Mika then he openly shows as he distances himself from her with excuses that their zodiac signs are incompatible and that big brothers shouldn’t hang out with little sisters as he is afraid of draining her vitality from her, knowing that she would willingly stay by his side. He only stays in proximity to her to prevent his bad luck from threatening his life only as a last resort. The yellow bow she wears is a lucky item her brother gave her on her birthday. He gives her lucky items prescribed by Oho Asa on her soccer matches. When he does have free time, he comes to her soccer matches and wears sunglasses to disguise himself only to be caught by Mika and have her laugh at him although she appreciates her brother coming to watch her. On the occasion that the two of them are home alone, Mika does all the cooking, and he eats her food with no complaints and when questioned, he says that it’s good in a stoic voice while smiling which makes her happy. She ended up outing herself to her brother when they had a conversation about his teammates as potential love interests for her and he reassured her that their sibling relationship wouldn’t change, nor would he tell their parents but presaged her that their parents would eventually learn about her sexual orientation.

Chantelle Aomi aka Sailor Sao

When she noticed Chantelle was becoming a more prominent figure in her brother’s life, she wondered if her big brother was either in love with Kazunari Takao or Chantelle or whether he was in a love triangle with them much to his chagrin! She once inquired about Chantelle’s relationship with her big brother which embarrassed Chantelle and made Mika laugh as she apologized for her frank question. Chantelle was like another big sister to her, and Chantelle felt honored as she was a younger sibling and never been a big sibling to anyone before. This made Mika change from calling Chantelle “Chantelle-san” to “Chantelle nee-san.” They both have very loud laughs. She gives Chantelle big hugs. She’s a little envious but admires Chantelle’s painting skills but Chantelle thinks that her drawing skills are nice and says that everyone has their own strengths which made her stop feeling jealous. She also admires Chantelle’s three pointer throwing style and that she’s good at swimming and ballet. They also bonded over being biromantic and bisexual. As Sailor Orthosie, she cooperates with Chantelle as Sailor Sao.

Hideo Kasamatsu

The two of them encountered each other during a practice match between Kanagawa Junior High and Teikō Junior High and Mika’s teammates encouraged her to watch the practice match. He and his teammates overheard that she was the younger sister of the Generation of Miracles’ prodigal shooter, Shintarō Midorima, as well as the vice-captain of the Teikō Junior High’s girls’ soccer team and thought that sports aptitude must run in the Midorima family. and he was surprised that there was only a year difference between her and her older brother. He also thought that she and her teammates were cute. However, as hard as he and his teammates fought, they lost which was embarrassing given their female audience. He did his best to encourage his teammates to hold their heads up and he smiled even as he left the gym which made Mika notice him. However, fate had them encounter each other again as his friends, Ryōhei Yagira and Takuma Shinsō were soccer players and had a match against Teikō Junior High. Mika was distracted while talking to her teammates, but Hideo looked forward in time and was able to keep her from falling. He smiled as he told her to be careful and she blushed and thanked him. Her teammates fawned over the second encounter much to her embarrassment. From then on, they had encounters where Hideo saved her from getting into accidents or she got startled at his presence because she didn’t pay attention. After they finally exchanged names, she learned that he was the younger brother of Yukio Kasamatsu and she called him “Hideo-san”. It flustered him at how polite she was, but he accepted that it was a quirk of hers to call everyone “san”. They both have confidence and leadership abilities, and both are biromantic and bisexual and appreciate that the other has similar qualities. Mika loved how cheerful he was, and he loved how straightforward she was. Mika would blush when she was wrapped in his embrace because she could feel his warmth and muscular body. The sight of Hideo’s arm muscles would make her blush as well. After Hideo confessed her feelings to her, they went to ask permission from Mika’s parents and Hideo’s parents to date each other. Hideo tried soccer because of Mika and grew fond of it. Hideo admires Mika’s intelligence, and talents in soccer, piano playing, and drawing. Mika admires Hideo’s confidence, ability to play the drums and mediate.  Mika would give him wrap hugs and he would affectionately hold her and roll her on his bed when she came to visit and smother her in kisses that make her laugh. He eventually learned Mika’s secret that she was a Sailor Guardian and only loved her more for that. He was amazed that she had a lot of good luck and was also amazed to learn that she was part witch. Mika’s teammates couldn’t help but think that Mika was so lucky to have a boyfriend before entering high school and a relationship that lasted for life. After thinking hard about his future during university, he didn’t want to be apart from Mika ever again after seeing her die in their first year of high school before she revived and his parents and older brother had advised him to have a backup plan in case being a professional drummer didn’t work out and since Mihiro was pursuing a job to be a high school teacher and basketball coach, he decided doing the same thing but teaching a different subject would work for him. During Mihiro’s wedding, Mika caught the bouquet but was supported by Ryōta and Yukio who also touched the bouquet to make sure it didn’t fall out of her hands then Hideo proposed to her.
