Riku loves antiques to the point many of them can be found in his room: a clock, a mirror, desk, and chair, and an antique Japanese painting as he enjoys many things related to the past including history. He cannot stand people who act lazy or who can’t keep promises, which causes him to criticize those people harshly, which is his only immature quality. He values tradition, which is why he wants to inherit the Doi agricultural company in the future. He enjoys reading in his spare time which is why he is very intelligent. He is also very active as he is skilled in martial arts such as Jujutsu, Kendo, Aikido, and Iaido. He loves calmness so he can be alone with his thoughts and while he doesn’t dislike music, he hates it when he hears loud music.
He is very intelligent and skilled when it comes to martial arts but has trouble with holding his tongue back when people are acting improperly and enduring any form of loud music.
His dream is to become the CEO of his family business, the Doi agricultural company.

Background
Riku is the son of Hirota and Mari Doi and the heir to the Doi agricultural company. When he was 7 years old, his father, Hirota enrolled him in Jujutsu, Kendo, Aikido, and Iaido classes and his mother’s love of antiques influenced his interest in it.He attends Touou Academy's junior high school division.

His father wanted to be sure his son was skilled hence he enrolled him in multiple martial arts. When Hirota told Riku that he would take martial arts classes to learn how to fight and protect himself, he was excited to learn. Both parents encouraged him to do his best but his mother reassured him that if after a few months he found that he no longer loved learning martial arts, he could quit and take other kinds of classes instead. He diligently practiced the skills he learned from his martial arts and his parents were proud of him. Riku was influenced by his mother’s love of antiques as she took him to museums and auctions. He asked his mother why she loved antiques so much and she explained that it was nice to see things from history preserved, that they had a charming look to it, and that the older things were, the more valuable they were.
In their previous lives, Hotaru was his elder twin sister. While Princess Saturn was placed in a sleep as them being both awake meant the doom of the world, he had to protect the planet in her place. He would look at her sleeping form and miss interacting with her. He would vow to her that he would protect their homeland by his post. In their current lives, they are reincarnated as maternal cousins as their mothers are siblings. They were born a day apart and spent a lot of time together at the park.

His steed is a horse his past incarnation owned during the Silver Millennium named Saturni. It was made by Poseidon as a commission by Queen Eos who granted it to his past incarnation.

Hisashi Meiou aka Plutonis Knight
In their previous lives, Plutonis Knight telepathically asked Saturnus Knight if his sister could be revived as Sailor Pluto died after summoning Sailor Saturn as the Space-Time Door could not be left unguarded. Saturnus Knight willingly used his “Fate Reversal Swing” to switch his life for that of Sailor Pluto’s for the sake of maintaining order. This makes him feel guilty when the idea of killing Riku Doi is proposed as the existence of the twins of Saturn could cause the end of the world, but he ultimately goes through the intent of killing Riku as he believes that Saturnus Knight would understand that it was only done for the sake of order. After the conflict of killing Riku is resolved, the two of them have a brotherly relationship where Riku talks to him about antiques and books, and he scolds Riku for being rude when criticizing others.
Sora Tenou aka Ouranos Knight
When the idea of killing Riku Doi is proposed as the existence of the twins of Saturn could cause the end of the world, Sora is the first Outer Solar System Celestial Knight to firmly state his intent to kill Riku. Despite his bold front, Sora is inwardly conflicted about taking the life of the young boy, but he pushes away his doubts by telling himself that killing Riku is needed for the sake of the world. As Sora thinks about how to end Riku’s life, he finds himself self-loathing himself while fighting against his self-doubts by telling himself that this is to ensure the world’s preservation. He is bitterly aware that the boy must be ended as a civilian because once Saturnus Knight awakens, the path to destruction will begin. After the conflict of killing Riku is resolved, he comes along on Sora’s drives and rebukes Satoshi to turn down the music if Satoshi accidentally turns on the music too loud making Sora gently tell Satoshi to lower the volume. Both share an interest in reading, a firm dislike of natto, Sora is amazed at how many types of martial arts Riku has learned, and Riku acknowledges Sora’s ability in karate.
Satoshi "Ash" Ketchum aka Neptunus Knight
Naturally, Satoshi wasn't fine with the idea of taking the life of taking the life of a younger boy and a fellow Celestial Knight. However, he was aware that Saturnus Knight's existence could still bring the end of the world even if the Outer Sailor Guardians succeeded in killing Sailor Saturn and his knowledge of his duty made him see Saturnus Knight as a threat. Now that he sees Riku as a friend, one of the threats he sees from him is his tendency to criticize him whenever he acts improperly! In addition, Riku hates noise which puts him at odds with Satoshi's rambunctious personality. Satoshi thinks the antiques in Riku's room are cool and they hang out in museums to look at the artifacts given the chance. Given that Satoshi isn't always knowledgeable about Japanese traditions given the fact that he's also American, he listens to Riku's explanations about Japanese traditions, and it helps that the boy is eager about the subject.

Inspirations
I believe I named him after Riku from Kingdom Hearts since the planet Saturn and its Greek and Roman deities are associated with the earth which influences how I named him and his parents’ company. Since he was Sailor Saturn’s younger twin brother during the Silver Millennium and her maternal cousin, he is inspired by her as well as his abilities and attacks being inspired by her abilities and attacks. I used a random decision generator to determine his school and a random Japanese name generator for his parents’ names.
